הדו ליהוה כיטוב כי לעולם חסדו
“Praise GOD, who is good—whose steadfast love is eternal!”

יאמרו גאולי יהוה אשר גאלם מידצר
Thus let GOD’s redeemed say,those redeemed from adversity,

ומארצות קבצם ממזרח וממערב מצפון ומים
who have been gathered in from the lands,from east and west,from the north and from the sea.

תעו במדבר בישימון דרך עיר מושב לא מצאו
Some lost their way in the wilderness,in the wasteland;they found no settled place.

רעבים גםצמאים נפשם בהם תתעטף
Hungry and thirsty,their spirit failed.

ויצעקו אליהוה בצר להם ממצוקותיהם יצילם
In their adversity they cried to GOD,and they were rescued from their troubles.

וידריכם בדרך ישרה ללכת אלעיר מושב
They were shown a direct wayto reach a settled place.

יודו ליהוה חסדו ונפלאותיו לבני אדם
Let them give praise for GOD’s steadfast loveand wondrous deeds for humankind—

כיהשביע נפש שקקה ונפש רעבה מלאטוב
for satisfying the thirsty,and filling the hungry with all good things.

ישבי חשך וצלמות אסירי עני וברזל
Some lived in deepest darkness,bound in cruel irons,

כיהמרו אמריאל ועצת עליון נאצו
because they defied the word of God,spurned the counsel of the Most High.

ויכנע בעמל לבם כשלו ואין עזר
Their hearts were humbled through suffering;they stumbled with no one to help.

In their adversity they cried to GOD,and were rescued from their troubles.

They were brought out of deepest darkness,their bonds broken asunder.

shattering gates of bronze,breaking their iron bars.

אולים מדרך פשעם ומעונתיהם יתענו
There were fools who suffered for their sinful way,and for their iniquities.

כלאכל תתעב נפשם ויגיעו עדשערי מות
All food was loathsome to them;they reached the gates of death.

ויזעקו אליהוה בצר להם ממצקותיהם יושיעם
In their adversity they cried to GOD and they were saved from their troubles.

ישלח דברו וירפאם וימלט משחיתותם
[God] gave an order and healed them—delivering them from the pits.athe pits Of death.

Let them give praise for GOD’s steadfast loveand wondrous deeds for humankind.

ויזבחו זבחי תודה ויספרו מעשיו ברנה
Let them offer thanksgiving sacrifices,and tell those deeds in joyful song.

יורדי הים באניות עשי מלאכה במים רבים
Others go down to the sea in ships,ply their trade in the mighty waters;

המה ראו מעשי יהוה ונפלאותיו במצולה
they have seen GOD’s worksand such wonders in the deep.

ויאמר ויעמד רוח סערה ותרומם גליו
God’s word raised a storm windthat made the waves surge.

יעלו שמים ירדו תהומות נפשם ברעה תתמוגג
Mounting up to the heaven,plunging down to the depths,disgorging in their misery,

יחוגו וינועו כשכור וכלחכמתם תתבלע
they reeled and staggered like a drunk,all their skill to no avail.

ויצעקו אליהוה בצר להם וממצוקתיהם יוציאם
In their adversity they cried to GOD,and were saved from their troubles.

יקם סערה לדממה ויחשו גליהם
The storm was reduced to a whisper;the waves were stilled.

וישמחו כיישתקו וינחם אלמחוז חפצם
They rejoiced when all was quiet,and were brought to the port they desired.

Let them give praise for GOD’s steadfast love,and wondrous deeds for humankind.

וירוממוהו בקהלעם ובמושב זקנים יהללוהו
Let them exalt in the congregation of the people,acclaim in the assembly of the elders.

ישם נהרות למדבר ומצאי מים לצמאון
The rivers are turned into a wilderness,springs of water into thirsty land,
Psalms 107:34

ארץ פרי למלחה מרעת יושבי בה
fruitful land into a salt marsh,because of the wickedness of its inhabitants.

ישם מדבר לאגםמים וארץ ציה למצאי מים
The wilderness is turned into pools,parched land into springs of water.
Psalms 107:36
Gematria: 1762
ויושב שם רעבים ויכוננו עיר מושב
There the hungry are settled;they build a place to settle in.
Psalms 107:37
Gematria: 2516
ויזרעו שדות ויטעו כרמים ויעשו פרי תבואה
They sow fields and plant vineyardsthat yield a fruitful harvest.
Psalms 107:38
Gematria: 1210
ויברכם וירבו מאד ובהמתם לא ימעיט
They are blessed and they increase greatly—their cattle do not decrease,
Psalms 107:39
Gematria: 1221
וימעטו וישחו מעצר רעה ויגון
after they had been few and crushedby oppression, misery, and sorrow.
Psalms 107:40

שפך בוז עלנדיבים ויתעם בתהו לאדרך
[God] pours contempt on noblesand makes them lose their way in trackless deserts;
Psalms 107:41
Gematria: 1917
וישגב אביון מעוני וישם כצאן משפחות
but the needy are secured from suffering,their families increased like flocks.
Psalms 107:42
Gematria: 1684
יראו ישרים וישמחו וכלעולה קפצה פיה
The upright see it and rejoice;the mouth of all wrongdoers is stopped.
Psalms 107:43

מיחכם וישמראלה ויתבוננו חסדי יהוהפ
One who is wise will take note of these thingsand consider GOD’s steadfast love.
