למנצח שיר מזמור הריעו לאלהים כלהארץ
For the leader. A song. A psalm.Raise a shout for God, all the earth;

זמרו כבודשמו שימו כבוד תהלתו
sing the glory of God’s name,make glorious God’s praise.

אמרו לאלהים מהנורא מעשיך ברב עזך יכחשו לך איביך
Say to God,“How awesome are Your deeds,Your enemies cower before Your great strength;

כלהארץ ישתחוו לך ויזמרולך יזמרו שמך סלה
all the earth bows to You,and sings hymns to You;all sing hymns to Your name.” Selah.

לכו וראו מפעלות אלהים נורא עלילה עלבני אדם
Come and see the works of God,who is held in awe by mortals for acts divine,

הפך ים ליבשה בנהר יעברו ברגל שם נשמחהבו
and who turned the sea into dry land:IsraelaIsrael Heb. “they”; cf. Josh. 4.23. crossed the river on foot;we therefore rejoice in [God].

משל בגבורתו עולם עיניו בגוים תצפינה הסוררים אלירומו ירימו למו סלה
[God] rules forever with divine might,eyes scanning the nations—not letting the rebellious assert themselves. Selah.

O peoples, bless our God;celebrate with praises
Psalms 66:9

השם נפשנו בחיים ולאנתן למוט רגלנו
the One who has granted us life,and has not let our feet slip.

כיבחנתנו אלהים צרפתנו כצרףכסף
You have tried us, O God,refining us, as one refines silver.

הבאתנו במצודה שמת מועקה במתנינו
You have caught us in a net,caught us in trammels.bcaught us in trammels Lit. “put a trammel on our loins.”

הרכבת אנוש לראשנו באנובאש ובמים ותוציאנו לרויה
You have let people ride over us;we have endured fire and water,and You have brought us through to prosperity.

אבוא ביתך בעולות אשלם לך נדרי
I enter Your house with burnt offerings,I pay my vows to You,

אשרפצו שפתי ודברפי בצרלי
[vows] that my lips pronounced,that my mouth uttered in my distress.

I offer up fatlings to You,with the odor of burning rams;I sacrifice bulls and he-goats. Selah.

לכושמעו ואספרה כליראי אלהים אשר עשה לנפשי
Come and hear, all you who fear God,as I tell what was done for me.

I called aloud to [God],glorification on my tongue.

און אםראיתי בלבי לא ישמעאדני
Had I an evil thought in my mind,my Sovereign would not have listened.

אכן שמע אלהים הקשיב בקול תפלתי
But God did listen—paying heed to my prayer.

ברוך אלהים אשר לאהסירתפלתי וחסדו מאתיפ
Blessed is God who has not turned away my prayer,or faithful care, from me.
